Friends of Cayton School

As Chair of the Friends, I would like to welcome you to this website.

Firstly, I would like to extend my thanks to all the parents, grandparents, carers and school staff who helped make 2013/2014 a hugely successful year. We were able to make some substantial donations to the school and these included:

• £2996.04 on Numicon (a whole school mathematics resource)
• £500 towards library refurbishment
• £135 to buy bookbags for every new starter in Ladybird class
• 4 Discos for the children – including a leavers disco
• Snacks and drinks for every child during Pantomime trip

We have some exciting plans for the forthcoming year and look forward to your support

How Can You Help?

The common misconception is that becoming a friend is time consuming. However we believe there is a role for everyone:
This can be through:

Attending meetings - Please come and join us, and help with ideas, organisation and promotion of activities and events.
Supporting at events only e.g. running a stall, serving coffee.
Keeping up to date - Regularly check our page on the Cayton School website, on our facebook page and on the Newsletter.
Attending/Supporting - we can only raise funds for the school if we all play our part.
Contacting a ‘friend’ - Get in touch with us via Email, Phone or through the school to give us your fundraising ideas.

Also, if you would like to be involved but you are unable to attend meetings please let us know.
