Where are we - Villagewide?
On the East Coast of North Yorkshire, 2 miles south of the seaside resort of Scarborough. Cayton is a commuter village with a mixed environment of town and village. The population in 1945 was around 400, but currently there are around 2500 villagers. To the North of the school is farmland and cliffside holiday caravan parks. To the South, the industrial sites, the most famous of which is McCains Foods, pizza designers and frozen chip specialists www.mccain.com

The County of North Yorkshire is one of the most beautiful in England. Between the moors and the dales and the coast lie some of the best holiday sites you could wish for. At the moment children are working on miniguides to each area. These will appear here soon. North Yorkshire is also the centre for TV spectaculars! Famous programmes made here recently include "Heartbeat", based around Goathland country and "Brideshead Revisited" from Castle Howard.In the centre of the county, 45 miles from this school, is the City of York - the third city of England.
